Community investment
We are committed to supporting community projects in the areas closest to where we live and work, as well as those in underserved communities, by providing volunteers and funding. We encourage our colleagues to get involved in and volunteer for projects focused on access to education, access to employment, supporting local communities and facilitating social mobility around the world to break cycles of poverty and improve people’s life chances.

ReStart supports unemployed people over age 50 to re-enter the labor market through a combination of coaching, mentoring, and workshops.
Action4Sustainability impact report
A&O Shearman comes together to participate in community investment volunteering focused on environmental sustainability. In 2025, we tackled critical issues including habitat loss and biodiversity, water scarcity, resource consumption, and climate change.
